CLEANING & MAINTENANCE GUIDE
Care
Admired Flooring is simple to clean and maintain. The 0.5mm thick commercial wear layer ensures ease of maintenance to help the longevity of your flooring aesthetic appearance.
Cleaning
The following cleaning equipment and methods of cleaning are acceptable:
- Vacuum (without beater bar)
- Sweeping
- Dust mop and micro-fibre mops
- Damp mop with a pH neutral detergent
- Only use a Steam Cleaner with the proper Floor Head attachment
It is NOT recommended to use the following cleaning equipment
- Acidic, alkaline or abrasive cleaners
- Steel wool or stiff bristled brushes
- Oil based soaps
- Buffing machines
- General Steam mops without the proper floor head attachment

Maintenance GUIDE
- If you have installed your flooring using an adhesive (recommended), please consult with the installer or adhesive manufacturer’s instruction on when it is suitable to commence walking on your installed floor.
- Reduce your broom time by using floor mats at door thresholds to keep dirt, moisture and chemicals (particularly from asphalt) away from your Admired Flooring.
- It is recommended to use a floor mat under rolling chairs.
- It is recommended to use floor protectors underneath your heavy furniture (especially under heavy items like refrigerators) and dining chairs/stools. Never drag furniture across vinyl flooring.
- Admired Flooring has a UV protection treatment, however direct sunlight can cause the colour of any material to fade. It is recommended to protect your flooring investment by closing the curtains or blinds when you’re not using a room.
- Refrain from allowing pets with unclipped nails to damage your floors. It may result in sever scratching to the surface. The same is true for any high heeled shoes that do not have proper cushion tips on the heels.
- DO NOT WAX your Admired Hybrid Flooring. The floor surface is very dense and non-porous which prevents wax from penetrating and thus builds up a bed for yellowing and dirt collection. The same non-porous feature also provides all the protection against wear and staining that you will need.
- If your Admired Hybrid Flooring has been exposed to excessive amounts of water due to flooding, do not panic, Admired Hybrid Flooring is waterproof. Simply remove the water as quickly as possible. A dehumidifier should be promptly turned on in the room to reduce the moisture levels back to normal. Do not dry the room below the normal moisture level.
- If flood water has access underneath from the wall edges, it is best to pull up the planks in those areas to allow the water underneath to dry and prevent mould growth.
First Aid for your Admired Hybrid Flooring:
- To remove chewing gum, adhesive, crayon, candle wax and similar types of substances, apply ice until the unwanted substance becomes hard and brittle enough to crumble off. The residue can then be removed with mineral spirits.
- Extra deep heel marks, caster marks etc, rub with green “Scotch-Brite pad’ ™.
- For dark spots caused by ink or other chemicals, clean the spot as per previous point.
WARRANTY
Admired Flooring warrants the structure and integrity of the Vinyl Planks (Hybrid & LVT), but can not cover installation and the sub-floor which is beyond our control. If the installation and maintenance procedures are not in accordance with Australian Standard AS1884.2012 and as outlined below, this can affect the warranty cover of the Admired Flooring.
